Specialty alloys & fine perforation
Monel, SS 316L, titanium, copper and brass — perforated to tolerances that hold across a production run, in hole forms most plants will not quote.
Most perforation shops in Mumbai run mild steel and 304. This unit also runs Monel, 316L, titanium, copper and brass, in hole forms — dimple, capsule, oblong, hexagonal — that need dedicated tooling rather than a stock punch.
Fine perforation is its own discipline. Below about 1 mm the tooling is specialist, the feed is slower, and the web between holes becomes the limiting factor rather than the hole itself. We will quote it, but we will also tell you when a mesh would do the same job for less.
The group has had an import-export code since well before it was fashionable, and material test certificates are handled in-house. For OEMs and exporters that documentation is usually the deciding factor, not the price per sheet.

Common questions
- What is the smallest hole you can punch?
- 0.5 mm, but the governing rule is that hole diameter must be at least the sheet thickness. So 0.5 mm holes need sheet of 0.5 mm or thinner. On a 3 mm plate the minimum hole is 3 mm. Our pattern designer checks this as you type.
- Do you supply material test certificates?
- Yes, for alloy work where it is normally required — Monel, 316L, titanium. We have held an import-export code (IEC 0304084174) for years and handle export documentation in-house.
- Why is Monel specified instead of 316L?
- Seawater and hydrofluoric acid. Monel is a nickel-copper alloy that resists both where even 316L pits and fails. It costs considerably more, so it is specified when the service genuinely demands it — most often in marine and offshore demister pads.
- Can you hold a tolerance across a production run?
- Yes — that is what CNC perforation is for. Tell us the tolerance the drawing calls for and we will confirm whether we can hold it before quoting rather than after.
