Perforated facade, jali & ceiling mesh
Panels specified by open area, not by catalogue number. Aluminium facades, expanded jali, ceiling mesh and decorative screens, made to the elevation you send us.
Architectural perforation is a daylight problem before it is a metal problem. The open area you choose decides how much light passes, how much the facade is seen through, and how much solar gain the building takes. We would rather talk about that than about hole sizes.
Aluminium dominates this work for one reason — at 2,700 kg/m³ it is roughly a third the weight of steel, which keeps the supporting structure light. It also anodises well, so colour is durable rather than painted on. For interior screens and ceilings, mild steel powder-coated is usually the cheaper answer.
We perforate the sheet, and we also shear, bend and level it in-house. That matters here more than elsewhere: a facade panel that arrives bowed cannot be installed, and high open-area sheets bow readily. Bow control is a specialisation of this plant.

Common questions
- What open area should I specify for a facade?
- It depends what the facade is for. 30–40% is the usual range for a screen that still reads as solid from outside while giving reasonable daylight behind. Below 20% it reads as a solid panel; above 50% it reads as a mesh and will bow unless levelled. Tell us the daylight and privacy you want and we will suggest a pattern.
- Can you match a pattern from an architect's drawing?
- Yes. Send the drawing as DXF or PDF. If the pattern is outside our tooling, we will say so and propose the nearest pattern we can actually make rather than quoting something we cannot deliver.
- Aluminium or steel for an exterior facade?
- Aluminium, in almost every case. It is about a third the weight, which lightens the support structure, and it anodises for a durable finish. Steel is the better answer for interior screens where cost matters more than weight.
- Do you supply anodised or powder-coated panels?
- Both. Anodising applies to aluminium only and is harder than paint. Powder coating comes in any RAL shade and suits both aluminium and mild steel. Coating is applied after perforation so cut edges are covered.
