Our story
Three bays, one family, forty years
The plant has grown sideways rather than moved. Same road in Bhayandar since 1985, now across three units of Swastik Industrial Estate.
Jai Shree Group started in Delhi in 1970, making wire mesh. Perforated sheet and expanded metal followed around 1980, and in 1985 the operation moved to Mumbai when Inder and Shyam Jangid set up the plant at Bhayandar.
It is still the same family, and still the same site. What changed is the footprint: L-8, then L-9, then L-11 of Swastik Industrial Estate — three bays on one road rather than a move to a bigger shed elsewhere. That proximity is why a drawing that arrives in the morning can be on a press the same afternoon.
The group split naturally over time. Talawade in Pune took the heavy industrial volume — automobile supply, vibrating screens, tonnage perforation. Mumbai kept what the port and the city demanded: architectural metal for builders and architects, filtration media for the refineries and pharmaceutical plants, and the specialty alloys that export work requires.
The company is privately owned with no debt, and holds its own stock of raw material. That is an unglamorous fact that decides a great deal — it is why we can take the one-off job, and why delivery dates hold.

Published sources differ on two details — whether the Bhayandar plant dates from 1980 or 1985, and whether the founder is recorded as Tejaram or Inder Jangid. We are reconciling these; the dates above follow the group’s own 2022 catalogue.
